I started drinking coffee in college. It wasn’t good coffee. From there, the quest began to start drinking good coffee at home. After many hours reading coffee forums, watching YouTube videos, and reading books on the subject, I found you really only need three things to have good coffee. The most important piece of equipment you need is a burr grinder. It doesn’t have to be super expensive. I’ve bought them used off Ebay for around $50. Second, you need fresh roasted coffee (which is where I come in), and third, water heated from 195 - 205 degrees. You don’t have to have an expensive coffee maker, but it does need to heat the water hot enough. I use a $30 pour over for my daily routine and it makes great coffee!!

I started roasting coffee in 2013. I started on the stovetop but it made too much smoke. My first larger investment was a small electric drum roaster which I roasted on for a few years. Then I moved to a larger gas roaster which led to my current roaster. I shared with a few friends and it started to grow from there.
